How we protect your data
  • Your PIN is never stored. Only a salted cryptographic hash (PBKDF2, 100,000 rounds) is kept β€” no one, including us, can read it back.
  • No bank passwords, ever. Bank sync uses SimpleFIN β€” you connect your bank in your own SimpleFIN account and hand FinPal a read-only token you can revoke anytime.
  • Encrypted at rest. Sync tokens are AES-encrypted before they're stored.
  • Signed sessions & rate-limited sign-in. Devices hold a tamper-proof token; PIN guessing is blocked after a few attempts.
  • No ads, no tracking. Your money is visible only to your family.
